2018
In response to the Architecture Fringe Festival's 2018 provocation Common Senses, Civic Soup drew together a small internal research project exhibited as a global trail at locations on Leith Walk.
local commons / global senses

Upon a sudden dispersal of Civic Soup members to new locations across the world, we took the opportunity to investigate our new contexts by revealing to ourselves issues facing each.
From Ullapool to Mumbai, through Warsaw; our everyday experiences were perhaps not as common as they were in Edinburgh. Through imagery, soundscape and short texts we drew parallels between the issues profiled in each place as a prompt for local conversations in the spaces we exhibited. Visitors were encouraged to share their thoughts through writing and discussion.
